THE THREE MACHINES

Three sizes. Same philosophy: simple, reliable, purpose-fit forestry machines built in Helsinki.

WHY LOGBULLET

Logbullet mini forwarder navigating a forest trail

Built in the woods

The Logbullet is at home on forest trails and in the woods forwarding logs and forestry equipment. Logbullet runs forward and backward with light jogging pace. The machine load space can be extended for longer trees with the optional extension. Cab and trailer swing freely and independently — an important safety factor. When wagon is accidentally overturned, cab does not crash with it. Logbullet is narrow enough to travel between trees in the forest. When you are collecting trees that have fallen due to strong wind, you do not have to cut extra trees down. Ground clearance of 400 mm — not just in a small area in the middle, but as a large area to facilitate driving over stumps and small stones.

Logbullet side handle control for forward and backward operation

User friendly

Logbullet is controlled by the handle on the side of the bench. The machine moves forward and backward by pushing or pulling the handle. The bench rotates 180 degrees for comfortable crane operation from a single seated position. No need to turn the machine around in tight forest spaces — operate in both directions from the same seat.

Kubota diesel engine inside the Logbullet forwarder

Cost-effective

Logbullet's hydraulic and other components are standard components from well-known manufacturers. The availability of parts is good, now and in the future. Logbullet engine is a small diesel engine — having a good diesel engine keeps operating costs down. Logbullet uses hydrostatic drive system where hydraulic oil circulates between hydraulic pump and drive motors without visiting the hydraulic tank. This produces less waste heat than a traditional open circuit system. The machine is lightweight and reasonably sized — transporting between work sites takes place on a normal flatbed trailer.

Forestry work — tree felling in a Finnish forest

PEKKA SYVÄNEN / FOUNDER, DESIGNER, MACHINIST

THE MAN IN THE WORKSHOP

Pekka Syvänen holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology. Before building forwarders, he maintained Finland's most popular forestry blog — puuntuottaja.com — writing under the pseudonym "Paavo Woodproducer" since 2011. He identified a gap in the market: no machine existed that was small enough for private forest owners yet capable enough for real forwarding work. So he built one.
